To do List.....

When I was only a few years younger I thought it was only the forgetful who needed to make lists. Now I'm a little older these lists are so vital to me I would be lost without them! I have learned through many different scenarios that they are a prop to my day and as I cross chores off, a great sense of relief and satisfaction is achieved. I also need the reminder! As much as we think we won't forget we do! Now I'm not binded by them or feel disorganised if I don't reach my own expectations but it helps me.

Our heads are often full of so much stuff it's easy to see how we can lose focus and direction sometimes. We are creatures of habit but then get easily distracted. That thing called life often catches us out.

Our brain is a computer, that contains a hundred trillion bits of information so no wonder we can't recall everything. But how we control our day is totally up to us. Bit by bit, one thing at a time.

Sometimes the beginnings are the most challenging but the endings don't have to be set. They can be continued or changed. Good days or lives rarely come from superficial or insignificant moments.

I have read that everything in our lives is a reflection of the choices we make. Pretty obvious really isn't it? So what image are we showing the world? Of all the things we wear our expression is the most important. We are fragile and fickle often checking our outward appearance, but how often do we check our inner self? The inside out should be our focus. Are we frowning too much from worry? Is our face bunched up with stress? Are we tired from a bad night's sleep or drawn from excess? Is our reflection really looking back at us for the better?

So be present now! Write that list! Set your sights but don't overlook here and now. Be present, don't miss your whole life, which is never not now. Be you but take all the time you need. Don't stress about when. We just need a few directions to appreciate the detour. We will get there!

So don't worry if the list keeps growing and the day is never done! It's your story and you're here for the long haul! Look at what you've done and not what you have still to do. Tomorrow is another day! It's totally up to you!

Life can be hard but make it reachable. Appreciate the sticky fingerprints. They are too easily wiped away. The dust will be back tomorrow and the diet is on going.
We get to write the list.

Moods and emotions can sway. So enjoy your life by doing and asking not by telling and expecting.

Its here and now!
