Not all searches need answers ....

When I was younger we had to use Encyclopedias to help us find answers to our homework. We had dictionaries to help us spell words we didn't understand or know how to write. We needed to know how to put things into alphabetical order to narrow our searches down. We also had a tool that helped us cross reference and so that often widened our search and helped to give us even more information. I spent hours looking at sometimes very random information but nonetheless it all pieced together and broadened my mind.

Nowadays, Google has the answers ! It's brilliant ! But by either typing or asking with very few words , it will inform you of the details you are looking for! But this shortcut , however thorough it may be, has skipped a few of the steps that perhaps are more valuable than an instant answer.

Our generation is quick to respond and technology is getting faster all the time, but I can't help but think that somethings aren't always meant to be that simple.
We still struggle to find time in our busy lives even with all our modern gadgets and know how . Is it making us lazier?! Are some things just too much bother? Is life really moving on or are we just becoming more sedentary and complacent.

I know when the WiFi isn't working or the laptop is having a glitch , the world is very tense ! We find it hard to function. When the washing machine breaks down or the car has a fault, life is very stressful!

So with this all said and done, do we manage our time well ? We struggle to cope ? In the simplest of scenarios we don't search we settle . We rely on something or someone else to fix it.

So, do all searches need answers? Not unless you look a little further. We need to get our heads from under the covers and into our books and get our brains working again. Likewise we  only experience the world through travel and investigation. Much is the same for anything in life . As my dear Mother used to say as we read together ;
" Look and Learn "

I think it is necessary to search for answers not just accept them.

If we lose our keys or forget where we put them last , we rake our brains hoping to reflect on our actions and hope to recall where we last had them. Surprisingly it works nine times out of ten. It may well trigger other thoughts that remind us why we became possibly distracted enough to not concentrate on where we left them in the first place !

It is about focus and attention. When we skip certain routines we can become disoriented. When we rush through things we often lose the thread of what brings it all together .
So that time we take searching , sieves and refines our knowledge and how we remember and recall it. It is a process, a blender if you like .

Just as we ponder through our day , our notes, text books or scriptures, revising our lives, we memorise! I call it ponderize! Whatever it may be, each step is crucial to its longevity and continuation.

So although social media and interaction has its place don't let it erase the basics .

We need to involve ourselves and our minds in searching. Even if at first we don't succeed, try, try and try again! If you are just thirsty to find anything out, keep looking. Don't go straight for the answer .You need to know how you got there too !

So whatever you are searching for, answers can come in many disguises and places. Enjoy the detour while on the journey. Who knows what or who you might meet and find!
Understanding is key to finding answers, whatever the questions are or whatever you are looking for.

If you search you will find answers. Prayers too are answered in mysterious ways but you need to apply yourself. Work it don't shirk it! Nothing worth having comes easy !

Just a thought !
