This past week our daughter graduated University! It was such an exciting day with so many emotions.
As parents we will always be so very proud of her and whatever she chooses to do. We know how hard she has worked and all the stresses and sacrifices she has gone through to get to where she is now. She so deserves this great achievement.
In life we all make deposits and withdrawals. We choose how we share them with others.
Shortly after the ceremony when she received her degree, a very kind lady asked if we would like her to take our picture together. We were so grateful to her as it was hard to get one with us all in. She actually took a very good picture of us all too, and we were so happy that her random act of kindness made our day even better! She too was delighted she had been able to help out and be a little part of the occasion.
There is a balance in the world if we choose to see it! The people we give to may or may not be the ones who return the generosity to us, but others will and the more we notice random acts of kindness, love and generosity, the better life gets!
There's a big difference in being self centred vs centred. The first is a constant state of dissatisfaction ; The latter a far more peaceful and productive position. A calm centred self is a good place to be.
Our daughters great achievement is the future unfolding on a daily basis of her sharing her skills to enrich not only her life, but the lives of all those around her too.
We hope that all of her dreams, and those of her counterparts continue to flourish as they step out into the world to make a difference today, tomorrow and thereafter! Well done everyone!
Because of you there is hope and a vision!
