Life's ups and downs

So, how are we all? Yesterday wasn't the best day for me but hey ~ keeping my chins up and carrying on! You know sometimes, no matter how hard you try, life does has its moments doesn't it?

But you get to an age where you see things from all angles and take it on the chin(s) and realise that it's not anyone's fault. It is what it is. Tomorrow it will be a memory and you will get through it and look back and learn from it. Even if it is painful. But reflections never are quite the same, as the water ripples. Even so, through it all, there will still be beauty all around and things you won't have noticed before because of it. So is this why?

The things that mean the most to me, don't always mean the same to others.  So perspectives and understanding are quite unique. We tend to think everyone knows how we feel and think. But it is definitely not so. This is when I feel let down I guess. But it is my own doing I suppose.

I need to realise that even in families, we are all unique. Sometimes perhaps we expect too much. We are all only human after all. We tend to take so much for granted too, especially from those we are closest too. That's when everything is most fragile. That's when those neat little edges start to unravel. But that too has its own beauty and strength.

I have realised that no one and nothing is perfect.

We are all too quick to judge one another and put labels on boxes and categorise without always looking in the box or reading the label or most importantly,  taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture. Looking within ourselves too. We don't do that as much as perhaps we should.
Does it matter if you get dust on your shoes because you've walked to church instead of taking the car? The principle I am trying to put over is, life is too short to fall out over things that you can't help happening. There are bigger things to worry about. Does it matter more to prove a point or be the one who looks within and not outside in!
