So, you bump into someone you havent seen for ages and the natural reaction is to ask how they are! Even though they are standing right in front of you and its usually quite easy to see. But is it?
It's all too easy to make a snap judgement without really putting much thought into it. On first impressions, things may appear good and all appears to be well, and hopefully, in most cases that's true, but there will be events that sometimes are hidden from our view that we sometimes just should not suppose don't matter.
I find that those who often have the smile on their face and time to listen are those who have been through the most and rarely have time for themselves. It's nice to know you matter enough for someone to take time out of their day to wonder about you and ask how you're actually doing without talking about themselves the whole conversation or make excuses as to how busy they've been and constantly saying sorry for not being in touch.
If you care, you'll be there and time will not have any limits.
Take time to be there. No excuses. Technology helps to reach out when you cant physically be present. It couldn't be easier really. Not as good as the real face time but comes close.
So don't get complacent with people you care for. Sure they will still love you and understand but don't let it become the norm.
Ask ? Show them you are there for them. You never know what they might be going through or need help with.
Don't let time take away. Make it add up!
